IDIWA aims to improve financial security and resilience of women and girls with disabilities and their families, as well as their knowledge, access to and confidence in ownership and utilization of economic resources, through vocational training, agriculture, on-farm and off farm income generating activities and small-scale businesses.
Employing a community based rehabilitation approach, IDIWA supports formal education of children with disabilities to enable them achieve their full potential and contribute to community and national development, and provides mobility appliances, home based care, and supports parents of children with disabilities to provide educational requirements and other needs for their children.
