This is an on-going program within IDIWA. It involves mobilization of beneficiary groups of People with disabilities, Women and other vulnerable people to form Associations for collective action and training in basic management skills to enable them run their organizations and handle challenges they encounter from day today.
IDIWA has just concluded an organizational capacity assessment of IDIWA in order to establish strengths and weaknesses of the organization. The assessment has helped IDIWA develop capacity-building plans for the organisation, staff, and its beneficiary groups. As part of the capacity building program, a five year strategic plan was developed to guide IDIWA operations in the next five years (2015/19).
